How would you like to be hit in the head?

A man was walking into a bank through a set of doors. As he passed through the doorway, a heavy, large, metal object fell and struck him in the head, knocking him to the ground and sending him to the emergency room. This was all caught on the bank surveillance camera and Mike Panish, Door Expert Witness, found -- through reviewing the surveillance video and conducting an inspection -- that the heavy magnetic door lock, which was mounted into the door frame overhead, was never attached properly. The installation screws the installer used were too short and some of them were missing. Legal discovery showed that the doorway and lock had been installed only a month prior to the accident.

Unfortunately, this is an all too common occurrence. Mike Panish is the retained expert on many cases across the country for injuries that occur from magnetic locks that fall from overhead. They’ve caused life-altering injuries and deaths. Mike’s inspection, review of service records, and help through the discovery process will educate all parties as to what went wrong and what could have been done to avoid the door hardware from becoming detached and falling onto someone.

Mike Panish, Door Expert Witness, is retained by attorney’s representing plaintiff and defense for all types of door injury and door wrongful death cases.
